18 August 2023

The end of the week is approaching, and edition 378 of Friday Morning Radio on TYGA-FM 98.9, with a mix of indies, memories (particularly 50 Year Gold and 60 Year Diamond tracks)
and great music with melody.

There will be a run-down on some of the major roadworks in and near the Derwent Valley, This Day In History, Railway Round-up (mention of which volunteer-operated Tourist and Heritage
railway trains are running); and in Sky High, which planets are visible, where and when. And, of course, regular weather updates.

It all amounts to a very busy programme, and TYGA-FM 98.9 is where you hear it.

SUNDAY – At 6 a.m. AEST every Sunday, Music Unlimited from Ian MacPhee and Paul Meagher in Studio B, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Post-production is by Ron Bickle, of community radio CFTA in Amherst.

This programme is aired on community radio CFEP Seaside FM in Eastern Passage, as well as CFTA; and since 2017, TYGA-FM 98.9 here in New Norfolk.

It is unique radio for the timeslot in southern Tasmania, if not the entire State.

This Sunday’s edition includes many 60s hits, from artists such as but certainly not limited to, Jimmie Rodgers, Gail Garnett, Andy Williams and Gene Pitney.

Valley Sunrise follows at 7 a.m., with all of Friday’s features AND listener requests after 8 a.m., to take you through to 9.00.

I look forward to your company on air. You can contact me via this blog, via Facebook (Ray Hewitt Valley Sunrise) or during either programme on 6261 2000.
